Based in Boston, we welcome destination work and have extensive experience in planning and designing flawless celebrations that overflow with beautiful details.

Our Story

Sara Kovel has been planning weddings and events for over 20 years. Originally from the idyllic Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, Sara began her career at the esteemed Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, where she collaborated with some of the most talented event professionals and artists in the industry. Eventually relocating back North, Sara found a home in Boston at the Five Star, Five Diamond Four Seasons Hotel as a Catering Sales Manager, where she spent six years planning weddings and events (and where she met her husband William, who was the Chef of Aujourd'hui at the time). In 2011, William and Sara opened Catalyst Restaurant, one of the pioneer restaurants and event venues in Technology Square near the MIT Campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Sara's approach embraces her New England pragmatism, discretion, and her light-hearted sense of humor. You will be able to relax and enjoy your engagement (and share a few laughs with Sara along the way) while she and her team handle the details for you. "My goal is to understand my clients - their wishes, personalities, dynamic as a couple, and their style - and turn it into an event that tells their story. It's important to me that my clients and their guests feel cared for, and I strive to be generous with my time and resources."

Lindsay has over 15 years of experience in luxury wedding and event planning from her time planning elaborate weddings and high-profile events at The Four Seasons Hotel Boston, The Peabody Essex Museum, and for Ivy League, World-Renowned Universities and Colleges. Lindsay has a true desire to embrace and accommodate each of our client's individual needs while delivering a seamless experience. Her driven approach to ensuring my clients' visions, expectations, and needs are met ties into a consistent effort fostering a harmonious working relationship between all parties throughout the process.

Joy Locke is a seasoned event professional who prides herself on being high touch, the queen of details, and a wealth of event experience. She is deeply committed to her clients, offering advice and executing their ideas with exclusivity and trustworthiness. Her laid-back demeanor puts clients at ease while her assertiveness ensures the event runs smoothly. With a gentle touch and a sense of humor, she navigates even the most challenging situations with ease. Joy takes a strategic approach to every event, putting relationships first to ensure that clients' needs are always met.
