Our History

In 1982, Lisa Waddell and John Waddell, with their respective backgrounds in the food and beverage industry and construction expertise, opened a small delicatessen and bakery called Party Pantry in Buena Park, Ca. The concept was simple: provide the local community with great sandwiches, gourmet desserts, decorative wedding and party cakes, and party supplies at an affordable price. Word spread quickly, and soon they began offering affordable catering packages that would service the greater Orange County area around the clock. This eventually expanded to include party equipment rentals and full-service event planning. By 1986, the second location was opened in Orange, Ca., with a fleet of 29 trucks and service vehicles. For the next several years, they catered thousands of events at homes, community centers, businesses, even Disneyland. However, it wasn't long until they wanted to provide their services in a place of their own. In 1994, John and Lisa Waddell opened the first Garden Room in La Habra, Ca., which was "The Dream" they had envisioned. Now, it's our privilege to make other dreams come true.

We offer the entire property reserved exclusively for you and your guests, including a complimentary wedding cake with every package. We also provide dedicated spaces for both receptions and ceremonies, park-like surroundings for pictures, including lighted gazebos, a pond, water features, a wishing well, and more! Freshly catered meals are prepared using our onsite kitchen and bakery, and we offer private bridal suites chosen by thousands of brides and quinceaneras for their special day.
