Nestled in the heart of Tennessee's picturesque mountains, Hemlock Falls LLC is a serene and magical wedding and elopement venue that offers a breathtaking bluff view overlooking Cumberland State Park. Our enchanting mountain cabin retreat and event venue provide a perfect blend of tranquility, natural beauty, and fine Southern hospitality.

Our Story

The story of Hemlock Falls began in 1997 when our family became "mountain folk" and built a house next to our new neighbor Luther Blackburn Kirk. Mr. Kirk was a retired teacher and World War II veteran who was born and raised in Grundy County, just 15 minutes away. He was a feisty mountain man who loved the peace and tranquility of nature, as well as gardening, animals, and the occasional bottle of Evan Williams whiskey.

Our daughter wrote a heartfelt letter to Mr. Kirk in 2013, expressing her love for the mountain and the serenity of the bluff view. She told him of her dream to return to the tranquility of the mountain after completing her medical education at college and hoped he would give her first option to buy the cabin if he ever decided to sell it. In 2014, Mr. Kirk passed away, but before his passing, he made arrangements to honor our daughter's request by giving us an offer to buy the property we now call Hemlock Falls.

Our Services

At Hemlock Falls, we offer three unique wedding and elopement packages to cater to your special day needs.

• Large Wedding Package: This package includes a maximum of 150 guests, a 2-night stay in the honeymoon cabin, assistance with planning and budgeting, use of all decor, a preferred vendor list, ceremony and reception, and a rehearsal dinner allowed. The price for this package is $5000 + tax.

• Micro Wedding Package: This package includes a maximum of 70 guests, a 2-night stay in the honeymoon cabin, a preferred vendor list, ceremony and reception, and a rehearsal dinner allowed. The price for this package is $3650 + tax.

• Elopements Package: This package includes a maximum of 18 guests, a 2-night stay in the honeymoon cabin, 18 chairs included, ceremony only, a small cutting cake, and a bottle of champagne. The price for this package is $2000 + tax.

We also offer peaceful mountain sunsets, waterfalls that are steps away from the front porch, countless local attractions, and fine Southern hospitality. Our cabin interior is designed to provide comfort and relaxation, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy your stay.
