Duende Photo Wedding Photography

We are the founders of the Icon International Photography Awards, an annual competition that celebrates iconic photography with inspiration, education, integrity, and the power of print to elevate the photography industry. With years of experience organizing internationally recognized contests, we have built a structured dual-competition format that brings together wedding, portrait, pre-wedding, creative, and in-camera artistry photographers from around the world. Our expertise lies in creating clear judging criteria, transparent scoring systems, and professional critiques that help photographers sharpen their craft. We solve the challenge of fair, high-level recognition by offering both an online digital competition and an exclusive in-person print competition held at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas. Our professional standards are reflected in our Honors of Excellence program, Top Honors designations, and our GrandMaster, Double Master, and Master recognitions awarded to distinguished photographers.

We are committed to client and participant satisfaction through volume discounts, early bird pricing, and unlimited entry options that make the competition accessible. Our dedication to education is demonstrated through resources including 10 steps to an award-winning entry, video tutorials, and detailed scores and definitions. We maintain integrity by enforcing strict file specifications, print specifications, and clearly published terms and conditions for every division. Our reputation is reinforced by thousands of critiques delivered, multiple annual winners' collections, and the publication of an annual awards book. We continually invest in ceremony production, judging panels, and scholarship programs such as the Ghionis Scholarship to support the next generation of photographers.
