Historic Blum Barn is a premier barn wedding venue located in the picturesque countryside of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our venue is nestled within the countryside, providing magical country views and lush green pastures. This hidden gem is conveniently close to home, yet far enough to make you feel as if you've been transported to a dreamy far-away place, offering an escape from the chaos of modern day life.

A Venue Like No Other

The farm, settled by Phillip Petrus Blum in 1832, is steeped in history and offers a romantic and simple yet glamorous and polished atmosphere. The farm has been meticulously restored to preserve its original charm while providing modern amenities for your wedding celebration. With an array of unique indoor and outdoor sites available, you'll find the perfect space for your ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, or any other celebration you can dream up.

Early History and Restoration

The farm originally started as a dairy farm and was operated by the Blum family for over 75 years. In the 1960s, the farm was converted into a horse racing facility by Jimmy Hoffa's attorney, where they built a 1/2 mile race track and a huge block barn that housed 40+ race horses. The farm remained a harness horse racing facility until 2014 when it was sold to the current owners.

After purchasing the farm, the current owners' daughter, Rachel, expressed her dream of getting married in the barn. This dream was realized five years later in June 2019, with the first-ever wedding held in the barn. We believe that every Historic Blum Barn bride and groom deserves to be treated like our daughter or son - our family.
