Property Details

Lavonia Crest has an interesting history, having once been farmland where tobacco, squash, and Christmas trees were grown. In 2007, the land was transformed into a housing development, with construction beginning on a new road and the draining of swamps. Houses were gradually built, and a small pavilion was constructed to accommodate residents. However, when a neighbor asked to host her wedding at the pavilion, a new concept for Lavonia Crest began to take shape.

Now capable of accommodating up to 300+ people for events, Lavonia Crest provides a breathtaking setting for your special day. The venue offers various amenities, including a covered bridge, a unique stacked stone chimney, a fire pit, a pavilion, a stage area, dressing rooms, and restrooms for you and your guests. Stay in our cozy cottage rental or bring your tiny home to the Palisades of Lavonia Crest, where full hook-ups are available.

Our History

Steve & Somong Miller

Owners & Founders

The story of Steve and Somong is one of fate and love. Steve, a native of North Carolina, and Somong, who grew up in Thailand, met while Steve was stationed in Thailand during the late 1970s. After a three-year romance, they maintained a long-distance relationship through letters for another year before Somong moved to the United States and eventually became a US citizen. Together, they have three children-April, Veleda, and Randy-who all play significant roles in the family business.
