Our Story
For almost 200 years, our family has been an integral part of the Houston and surrounding areas, helping to tame the wild lands of Texas. During the height of the cowboy era in the late 1800s and early 1900s, we thrived in the local cattle markets, naming cities like Sealy and Willis after our trailblazing family. Our great-great-grandmother built the mansion in Galveston (now known as the Moody mansion). Then her daughter, our great-grandmother, moved to Montgomery to marry the love of her life, a cowboy named Stump Martin. They built a beautiful estate, which they dubbed "The Big House, " which boasted a grand hall to entertain guests and dignitaries far and wide.

Our venue boasts both indoor and outdoor spaces, providing a rustic and vintage atmosphere with a woodsy backdrop. The Grand Hall is the centerpiece of our venue, featuring over 20 antique chandeliers that add a touch of elegance and charm. The main room can accommodate up to 200 guests and also has a separate full-size bar area. The bride's room and groom's suite provide the perfect place for the wedding party to prepare before the ceremony.

Over the past 100 years, a lot of things have changed, but our roots still run deep in Montgomery, Texas. To honor our proud Texas heritage, we built the Grand Hall, capturing the grandeur of an era gone by. With over 20 vintage chandeliers, reclaimed shiplap, decorative tin and stone fireplace, we have channeled old-world charm while providing a hint of modern Texas spirit.
