Avalanche Acoustic Duo ~ Violin & Guitar is a premier wedding music duo based in Lake Tahoe, California. Our musicians, Liz and Don, have been performing together for over two decades, bringing their unique blend of classical, jazz, and popular music to audiences across California and Nevada.

Our Story

Founded in 1997, Avalanche Acoustic Duo was born when Liz and Don, both members of the Sacramento Symphony Orchestra, decided to pursue their passion for chamber music. With degrees in music performance from prestigious institutions, they drew from their extensive experience playing with renowned orchestras to craft a distinctive sound that complements any wedding celebration. Over the years, they have honed their craft, performing at over 800 weddings and events, and have developed a repertoire of over 40 songs covering various genres from classical to rock.
