Our Story
I Do Hawaiian Weddings was founded in 2009 by June Dillinger, a passionate and dedicated destination wedding planner. With a background in aviation and a strong sense of service, June's journey began after her father's passing and the end of her own marriage. She was drawn to Unity Church of Hawaii, where she found her calling to serve. Years of personal development and volunteering at the women's prison on Oahu provided the foundation for her future endeavors. June's journey took an unexpected turn when she was called to serve as a prison minister at the men's maximum penitentiary. This experience not only helped June grow spiritually but also introduced her to a new friend, Toni, a successful wedding officiant.
Toni recognized June's natural ability to present and sensed that she would be an excellent fit to conduct wedding ceremonies as an officiant. After accepting Toni's offer, June realized she had the potential to start her own wedding business. However, she wanted to avoid competition with Toni and sought her blessing. Toni's response was, "There is enough love and money for everyone; how can I support you?" This marked the beginning of I Do Hawaiian Weddings. Over the years, June has performed over 1000 intimate destination weddings, creating unforgettable experiences for couples worldwide.
