Allandale Mansion

Once a 500-acre farm where Mr. Brooks raised his championship Black Angus cows and blue-ribbon Tennessee Walking horses, Allandale is now an exciting part of Kingsport's civic and social life. Elegant weddings, receptions, dinners, business meetings, and innovative celebrations once again fill the halls with the joyous sounds of laughter, dancing, and the romance of an earlier time. Allandale Mansion is proud to be a City of Kingsport facility, operated by Kingsport Parks and Recreation. Event rentals begin as low as $250.00 (weekday Pavilion rental). Historic tours are $3.00 per person, payable in cash. Allandale also offers a lengthier tour with an included lunch. Friends of Allandale

The Friends of Allandale were formed in 1989 to support continuing improvements at Allandale Mansion by a group of people with a focus on developing the beauty of Allandale and creating a distinctive location in the Kingsport area for special events. Since then, this family of Friends has grown to include over 250 members who have supported over $550,000 of improvements to the interior, the exterior, and the grounds of Allandale Mansion. They share their interests in different facets of interior decorating (including draperies, carpets, paint, paintings, and furnishings) to create a beautiful location for many events. Other people contribute their talents to exterior improvements: lighting, flowers, walkways and gardens. Many contribute the gift of their time for events and other projects. Key Accomplishments Each year, the Friends of Allandale complete many decorating and grounds projects.
