I am a tropical, Latina person full of hugs. I moved countries from Costa Rica a decade ago with the love of my life, after years of long distance! We now share a full house in Minnesota, where we enjoy impromptu dance parties and exploring around with our two little ones.

Laura shot my wedding this October. We were so pleased with how easy and fun the whole process was. Laura does a phenomenal job of taking natural, fun photos, and making you feel at ease. I highly recommend her!
I also hired Laura to take my business portraits in 2014 and was extremely happy with how the photos turned out. They were unique and professional. Getting your picture taken can feel awkward, but Laura is such a relaxed and warm person that I felt so comfortable during the photo session.

Working with Laura is beyond amazing! She is truly exceptional! She is such a warm, personable, and helpful individual who really puts her whole heart into her work. Not only did she capture both our engagement photos and our wedding day beautifully, she also stepped in and helped coordinate on our wedding day when things got hectic. Throughout the wedding planning process, and the day of, she was willing to answer any and all questions (photography related or not), offered thoughtful advice, and brought a calm, and positive energy that helped us enjoy our day to the fullest! Laura Alpizar Photography is absolutely the best. We chose to work with Laura for our engagement and wedding photos after seeing her stunning galleries of Minneapolis City Hall (our venue) weddings and local engagement shoots. Her work is incredible. Laura guided us through our November engagement photo shoot at Montissippi Regional Park and Lake Maria. We were nervous ahead of time, but she put us at ease right away and we ended up having a ton of fun during our session. After our engagement shoot and before our wedding, we also worked with Laura for a quick holiday shoot with our two beagles. That was chaotic(!) and Laura absolutely just rolled with it. Laura also helped make our wedding day so special and, through her photos, memorable forever. We are so grateful we got to work with Laura and highly recommend her.

There are so many wedding photographer options in the area and that made it difficult to choose just one. Upon my first meeting with Laura I knew right away that she was the best. Her knowledge and expertise are unmatched and she is so passionate about what she does. I’m not usually comfortable getting my picture taken, but Laura made my husband and I so comfortable and we have the best candids and portraits to prove it. Laura’s pictures tell our story so well. Finding Laura for our wedding pictures was the best choice we made for our wedding.

We had the BEST time working with Laura!!! Wow, we've had such wonderful experiences with Laura! The recent marriage of our daughter and the beautiful images that Laura produced were stunning. She was so easy to work with, especially with a crowd of folks who want "one more picture!" We worked out a plan in advance, and she literally captured the tender moments, and the raucous laughter of the day. Laura checked in throughout the event and kept us on track and asked for updates -- so great to have that kind of initiative on my side. I'd rate Laura 10 stars if I could! We absolutely loved working with her on our wedding day in September and even got to do two engagement sessions prior. We've gotten so many compliments on our pictures. She is great at making those in front of the camera feel comfortable and confident! Laura is AMAZING! She took both our engagement photos, and was our photographer the day of the wedding. Not only are her photos beautiful and amazing quality, she is also just a joy to work with. She was very communicative at every stage of the process, and was on top of all the little details which I very much appreciated. She is also super organized, which made my day so much less stressful. I had no doubt that everything would stay on schedule and everything I wanted would be captured, and she delivered!. On top of all that, she is so warm and welcoming which made taking photos so much more natural. Me and my husband are a bit goofy, but we were so comfortable being ourselves and she captured our personalities perfectly. I cannot recommend Laura and her photography enough! Thank you Laura!

Laura knew her way around the Government Center and City Hall and knew how to capture really good photos of our weddding. Teng and I were very pleased with the photos and our friends really had such positive feedback on the quality of the photography. We appreciated her counsel on locations in downtown and while we had limited time, we never felt too rushed. She delivered a few highlight pics really fast and the online album came in the timeframe she promised.

My husband and I worked with Laura for our wedding last summer and truly could not have been more pleased with her and the photos!!! We met ahead of time and discussed our needs and wants for the day of, walked through the logistics, and she was extremely accommodating. But the best part was the way she captured our special day. The photos she took captured the day and the memories in a way I couldn't have anticipated. Not only are they beautiful, but they are wonderful memories of our day with family. Laura is an amazing wedding photographer! We were so happy with our photos. She and her team are great and were patient with our requests. We are not big on taking photos of ourselves and they were able to make us feel comfortable. They were not intrusive during the wedding but managed to get incredible photos that we are so happy with. Laura is so professional and engaging as she takes your photos. If you go in thinking “I’m not photogenic”, “I don’t know how to pose” etc. don’t worry, Laura gives great prompts and direction to help capture natural moments and expressions. She delivers photos in a super timely manner too, we got our entire wedding album (over 1,000 photos!) a month after our wedding day and I’ve seen other photographers taking up to two months to deliver portfolios.
On top of her excellent photography, she is such a sweet person and on our wedding day she went above and beyond what we could have expected. She had tissues and safety pins at the ready when we needed them last minute. She helped button my dress when my family was struggling with the tiny buttons. She kept the entire day moving seamlessly. I am still in awe of how she got both of our families prepped and done for portraits so smoothly. She helped take a lot of stress off of my shoulders the day of the wedding which was very appreciated.

We absolutely loved Laura! She took such beautiful photos and communicated with us so well. We had a very small wedding that didn't involve any bridesmaids and she also helped with the little things like carrying my dress and helping me get my heels off. Laura is the BEST! We cannot recommend her enough. Right from our first meeting, we knew she would be the perfect fit for us. We honestly didn't even meet with anyone else because we loved her style and clicked so well. She is adventurous, responsive, funny, hardworking, thoughtful, open, caring, passionate, and really made it a point to get to know us and understand all of our wants/needs. We had an untraditional wedding, and she made us feel so comfortable and validated with our decision the entire time. She even had previews for us within hours of our elopement!! Her photography is timeless and is truly AMAZING! We are so incredibly happy with our our photos and we will cherish them forever. Laura was an absolute joy to work with! Right from the start she was responsive and made us feel so comfortable. We used her for our engagement and wedding photo's and she knocked them both out of the park. I love her timeless and not overly "edited" style - I've never loved a picture of myself or my hubby more than the ones she has captured. I truly have no idea how we are going to pick which photo's to hang in our home because we have soooo many great ones to choose from. I'd recommend her a million times over again!
