Livengood's Barn

At Livengood's Barn, we believe that life is indeed better at the barn. Our story began with a simple idea to share our property for special gatherings. Located on 20 acres in Northwest Illinois, our site offers two renovated, climate-controlled barns, an open lawn with a pond, and a quaint pond with a dock. The property is perfect for rustic, intimate events, including weddings. Our journey started with a wedding held in 2015, and since then, we've grown into an amazing experience, hosting many more weddings and events.

The Barns

Our main barn, the Brown Barn, has been renovated to include a newly renovated bridal suite, perfect for the start of your wedding day. Private bathrooms are available on both stories of the barn. The Shed, adjacent to the Brown Barn, has been updated with new flooring, walls, and doors, making it an ideal setting for dinner and dancing. The second level of the barn offers a simple yet charming backdrop for ceremonies or first looks, with a large deck and elevator for easy access.

The Outdoors

The outdoors at Livengood's Barn hold the same charm as the indoors. Our pond has become a popular backdrop for couples, with opportunities for photos on the dock, around the cabin, and in the wooded areas. Sunsets on the property are truly breathtaking, making for unforgettable wedding pictures.

Our Story

Ed and Kali Livengood, the owners, have always cherished sharing life's special moments with family and friends. After hosting their first wedding in 2015, they decided to open their property for others to create their own special moments. Today, they strive to provide couples with a relaxed and beautiful wedding day, offering packages designed to support you in planning your day with confidence.
