We are Bethany and Dan Cox, the husband-and-wife team behind Picture This Photography. Our love story began in a lifeguard training class in Raleigh, North Carolina. Fate brought us together under a shimmering starlit sky on a secluded island, where our first kiss sealed the start of our journey. A whirlwind romance ensued, leading us to embark on an adventure to truly test our partnership: a kayaking trip from Maine to Key West. Throughout the miles and challenges, we discovered the profound joy we found in spending every waking moment together, calling the shots and shaping our own experiences. This realization fueled our passion to create a life filled with shared passions and creative expression, ultimately leading us to establish Picture This Photography in 2010.

Our Journey

Since those early days, we've had the extraordinary privilege of capturing over 200 weddings, each one a unique and unforgettable tapestry of love and celebration. Our careers haven't been without their share of surprises - tropical storms that threatened our carefully laid plans, impromptu ceremonies held under the cloak of darkness, international travels that tested our adaptability, broken bones that tested our resilience, the hurdles of a global pandemic, and even a helicopter ride to a volcano! Through every adventure, our shared vision of providing exceptional photography that captures the essence of each couple's story has remained steadfast.
