Meet the Planner

Hi, I'm Laura, the founder of LIG Events. I am a professional event planner with a vast array of experience in planning special events. I began my career working in New York City for the eminent David Monn, producing exquisite and complex events for an elite roster of high-profile clients. Over the years, I have produced many different events in the United States and internationally, including the U.S. Launch of Magnum Ice Cream in NYC, the 2,500 guest re-opening celebration for the Fontainebleau Hotel, and a State Dinner at the White House. I am fluent in Spanish and highly proficient in French, and I enjoy traveling, baking, and craft projects. I am dedicated to creating memorable celebrations for discerning clients and making the months leading up to your event fun and stress-free.

Our Event Planning Process

At LIG Events, we have a streamlined event planning process that ensures a smooth and stress-free experience for our clients. Our process includes the following steps:

1. Let's Chat: Interested in working with us? Fill out our online form to get the process started. We'll contact you to set-up a time to speak in-person to discuss our availability and if LIG is the right match for your needs.

2. Consultation: We'll meet in person or over Skype and discuss what you envision for your event. This is when we'll talk about the intricacies of your event - your personality, aesthetic, likes and dislikes, etc. After we talk everything through, we'll be able to select the right package customized to your needs. From there, we'll send you a contract and invoice for deposit to get started. Congrats! You're on your way to an awesome party!

3. Determine: Once the paperwork is squared away, we'll start developing a comprehensive budget for your event(s). If you have not yet chosen a venue, we will research options that fall in line with what we've discussed so you can make an informed decision on where you'd like to host your event.

4. Envision: The venue is selected, so now the real fun begins! We'll compile a broad range of inspirational images that will cover the various aspects of your event. From print material, flowers and decor, to food presentation and welcome bag options, no detail is overlooked. We will conceptualize your event layer by layer and chart the course for designing the perfect party - tailored specifically to your vision. Producing a party is a large undertaking that requires significant thought and attention to detail. Throughout the planning process we will refine our plans, create detailed timelines, consider every detail, and troubleshoot any problems. We'll fine-tune your ideas, develop contingency plans, and ensure that your event is everything you envisioned and more.
