Our Story
Rooted in Texas tradition, Texas Old Town's founder, Larry Kruzie, envisioned a space where family and loved ones could gather for special events in nature's beauty. Inspired by the quaintness of small western towns of the past, Larry's dream came to life when he discovered a 55-acre ranch in Kyle, Texas, while exploring the Texas Hill Country around Austin and San Antonio.
Landowners Bruce and Annetta Hughson, third-generation owners of the Hughson Ranch where Texas Old Town sits today, agreed. Their grandfather had told them to do something special with the property, and Texas Old Town was their opportunity to turn their beautiful land into an event and wedding destination where generations could share special events for years to come.
