Kala - Owner/Event Planner
Kala founded MOD Events in 2010 and has been drawn to the world of weddings ever since her first job at a bridal shop in high school. After moving to Charleston, she worked for an event planner and discovered her true passion for working with couples to create their perfect wedding day. With a keen eye for detail and a genuine care for her clients, Kala has been honored to be a part of countless amazing weddings. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Greyson, and her husband Thomas.
Kara - Event Planner
Kara joined the MOD Events team in 2012 and has been working in the hospitality industry since 2009. With a background in catering and events, as well as experience at a specialty linen company, Kara has a deep understanding of the ins and outs of the event business. Her keen attention to detail and organizational skills make her an invaluable asset to the MOD Events team and the perfect planner for any event. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and spoiling her two dogs, Trevor and Asher.
Hannah - Event Planner
Hannah grew up in Massachusetts and has a background in hospitality management. After working in event planning and design in New Orleans for six years, she moved to Charleston in 2016 and joined the MOD Events team. Hannah's organizational skills and attention to detail make her the perfect planner for any event. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Keith and their cat, Kevin, and exploring all that Charleston has to offer.
