History

La Venta Inn was built in the summer of 1923, making it the first structure ever built on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The iconic venue has been a popular spot for various celebrities and dignitaries over the years, including Alfred Hitchcock, Charles Lindbergh, Charlie Chaplin, Bob Hope, and members of the legendary band Led Zeppelin. La Venta has been designated as a California Historic Resource by the California State Office of Historic Preservation and was nominated as a state point of historical interest by the county Board of Supervisors.
