Our journey began with the vision of Mike and Kathy McClarrinon, who fell in love with the potential of this approximately 1901-era barn, once a part of a sprawling farmland that encompassed over 3,000 acres. Originally built as a mill for wood, the barn stood witness to generations, whispered stories from the past within its weathered timbers. After buying the farm in 1994, the barn was on the verge of collapse, but Mike and Kathy saw something extraordinary in its bones. Driven by a shared passion, they embarked on a meticulous restoration, breathing new life into the barn while preserving its rustic charm.

The vision wasn't simply to restore a building, but to create a space where families and friends could gather to celebrate life's greatest milestones. This passion led Kathy to establish a successful horse training facility, utilizing the barn's spacious interior and serene surroundings. This love for creating community and memorable experiences eventually led to the barn's metamorphosis into the enchanting wedding and event venue it is today. Through the years, long after the horses found their new beginnings, the barn has hosted countless weddings, parties, and gatherings, becoming a cherished landmark in the heart of Yelm.
