The Venue
Privately owned, Up the Creek Farms combines the warmth of home with southern and coastal elegance. The property is located along Goat Creek in Brevard County, just moments away from the Indian River Lagoon, 10 minutes south of downtown Melbourne, and 35 minutes from Vero Beach. All ceremony and reception spaces overlook a manicured native-Florida habitat, lush oak-filled gardens, and expansive views to the north.

Our Story
The property at Up the Creek Farms is the original homestead of one of the area's first pioneers, Ernest Svedelius, who built a two-story farmhouse in the 1870s. Through many years of different owners, the house fell into disrepair. In 1984, the Tuten family acquired the property and repaired the old farmhouse. In 2013, Jessica Watson (Tuten), with a background in catering and restaurant management, returned to the home with a vision to transform it into a Bed & Breakfast. Recognizing the beauty of the property, she expanded the project's scope to include a wedding and special events venue. Today, Up the Creek Farms is owned and operated by Jessica and Tim Watson, who reside on the property with their two labs, Murphy and Parker. Their shared connection to the property, Jess's vision, Tim's background, and an incredible amount of teamwork have contributed to the venue's success.

Meet the Owners
Jessica and Tim Watson, the owner-operators of Up the Creek Farms, oversee the day-to-day operations and thoughtfully plan the venue's evolution. They met in college and were married at Up the Creek in 2016. In 2020, they welcomed their daughter, the third generation to live on the property. As a couple with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, and Business Management, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the venue.
