Our Story

The Club Continental has its roots in the Palmolive Soap Company, founded by Caleb Johnson, the heir to the company. In the 1920s, Johnson chose this picturesque location for its winter home, and it was here that he built the magnificent mansion that would become the Club's iconic centerpiece. Over the years, the Club has undergone transformations and renovations, but its commitment to excellence and exceptional service remains unchanged.
